St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church West Hempstead, New York
We gather together as a community to celebrate Holy Communion during our services every Sunday. Jesus Christ is the host at the communion table, and all are welcome regardless of church affiliation. The pastor distributes bread and wine to everyone at the table, but you are able to cross your arms to receive a blessing if you prefer.

Pastor Tilbert V. Anderson built the church in 1946 when only woods surrounded the building, and became the assistant Mason on the job. Pastor Paul Kroon and Pastor Kenneth C. Fahlman led the congregation through the late 1950s until 1966. During this time St. Andrew’s had 300 active members in the church. It was in 1962 that the new part of the building was built and the church is what we know it to be today.
